EARLY PLACEMENT

PHILOSOPHY:

Early Placement is a privilege, not a right. Early Placement has the following objectives:


1. To provide experience on specialized equipment not available in the school.
2. To provide the student with an opportunity to adjust to employment practices.
3. To provide employers with well-trained employees.


REQUIREMENTS:
Required Attendance, Grades, Behavior
Instructor recommendations
Program instructor job site approval
Passed OGT (unless exempt)
No credit deficiencies
Senior in same two-year program
Paid employment
Employer paying worker's compensation
15+ hours per week
*Work Permits are not required for school training employment.

*Student must maintain requirements in order to remain on Early Placement throughout the year.

*EARLY PLACEMENT officially begins at the beginning of the 3rd 9 Weeks--approximately Mid January of Senior year.
*Early Placement ends several days prior to Senior Awards Assembly--approximately 3rd week of May.
*Employer and Student are to discuss post graduation employment intentions.



STUDENT EVALUATION
Employer to complete Evaluation for student employee at Mid 9 Weeks and End 9 Weeks. Return to Instructor.
