In the Dental Assisting program, students learn to work in cooperation with a dentist in the care and treatment of patients. Along with basic dental laboratory procedures, students learn dental terminology, use of instruments and equipment, x-ray procedures, preparation of dental materials, as well as dental office management skills. As a dental assistant, you will perform many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills. If you enjoy working with people and have strong communication skills, the Dental Assisting program will be a rewarding experience.
