Well the 35th Year Anniversary celebration has ended, and we are beginning a new school year. In facing this new school year, we are determined to continue to grow and to increase educational opportunities for our students. This means there will be reason to continue to celebrate. That reason will be the celebration of student success.
During the 2011-2012 school year, we were able to provide our first dual credit opportunity for our students, and it is our hope to expand those opportunities this year and in the years to come.
Our Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation program, housed at Louisville High School, had a very successful first year of operation. We have strong enrollment in the new junior class, and another great year is expected.
Once again, our overall enrollment continues to hold at record-breaking levels. Although our student success level is high, we will continue to work on increased student achievement.
Teacher based teams will be utilized highly during 2012-2013 as part of our continued Ohio Improvement Process initiative. Through the work of those teams, R. G. Drage will move closer to meeting the long-term goals established through this process.
Increased educational challenges and mandated change will reach our doorstep as new legislation effecting education is passed. However, I am confident when the time comes, staff dedication and collaboration will be more than adequate enough to meet those challenges. I know the future will continue to be a bright one for our students and staff.
