This page is for my students and parents. My goal is for each and every student to have a successful year in their math class with me.
For my new, incoming Juniors, WELCOME!! To my Seniors, Welcome Back!
My mathematics classroom has a heavy emphasis on technology. I do have a classroom set of chrome books that students will be sharing (and sanitizing) on a daily basis in my room. If students are in class on a daily basis and use their time wisely they should have time to get most of their work done in my room. I will be utilizing Google Classroom, Varsity Learning and Remind 101 in conjunction with the grade book. All of my notes will be posted through Google Classroom and are available on YouTube as well.
PARENTS - PLEASE FEEL FREE TO E-MAIL ME AT ANY TIME! I will respond to you as soon as I possibly can (hopefully the same day). There is a link to my e-mail on the right side of this screen.
STUDENTS & PARENTS: If you could join REMIND based on your class period that would be amazing! Just send a text to 81010 and make the body of the text as follows, based on your the period you have me for class:
1st period (Pre-Calculus) @mrskrysty1
2nd period (Algebra 3) @mrskrysty2
3rd period (Algebra 3) @mrskrysty3
4th/5th period (Algebra 3) @mrskrysty4
9th period (Algebra 2) @mrskrysty8
10th period (Algebra 2) @mrskrysty9
This year may be a crazy one, and we have no clue what may be in store...I spent the summer re-building my curriculum so that it is available remotely if needed (not only in case of school closures, but also in case a student is out for an extended period of time due to their own illness or that of a family member). My notes are all available on YouTube and can be watched on a phone...let's make this work!! Everything can (and will be) turned in digitally - I have no desire to be handling papers from 160+ different students per day!
Supply List: Please bring to class:
1) Writing utensils of your choice (pens and/or pencils or a combination of the two...do NOT forget, they will NOT be available to borrow this year <sorry>)
2) Calculator that IS NOT YOUR PHONE
4) EITHER 2 spiral notebooks OR a 3 ring binder and loose leaf paper; whichever works better for you as a student.
Thank you!! See you soon,
Mrs. Heather Krysty
