SkillsUSA  is a national nonprofit organization serving teachers and high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, including health occupations. It was formerly known as VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America).

  • Club members held a school-wide fundraiser for Toys for Tots.
  • Students participated in a Career Day with the Columbus Blue Jackets in the Arena District of Columbus.  They toured the facility and met with professionals representing the many trades employed in the Arena itself.  In addition, they were treated to a hockey game that evening. 
  • Students are currently working on honing skills and preparing projects for both the regional competitions held at Maplewood Career Center in February and also SkillsUSA Championships  held in Columbus in April 2012.
